Journaling As Contemplative Practice

Contemplative writing is journaling with the pressure taken off. There is no audience, no style to keep up, and no obligation to be interesting — only the practice of sitting with a page and letting what is actually present come through the pen. Where a diary records the day, contemplative writing attends to it: the writing slows thought down enough to see it, and the seeing is the point.
