When Food Meets Medication

Medications do not act in isolation — they are absorbed, processed, and cleared by the same body handling everything else you eat and swallow. That is why foods and supplements can sometimes change how a medication works: a well-known example is that grapefruit affects some medications, and certain minerals and high-fiber meals can influence how well some drugs are absorbed. None of this calls for alarm; it calls for awareness, and for asking the right professional.
